Individualized Therapeutic Massage

60 minutes: $160
90 minutes: $220

The combination of modalities I incorporate into the massage session helps elicit an optimal state of relaxation for healing, effective in decreasing aches and pains from tight muscles and stress. Problem focused; I listen to your verbal description as my hands tune in to "hear" the messages of the tissues in your body. My goal as your therapist is to enhance your wellbeing, reduce the physical and mental effects of stress and tension, prevent disease and injuries, and restore health.

Our lives ask a lot of our incredibly amazing bodies, and our bodies need regular care and maintenance. Some of the conditions I help include:

  • overuse problems / repetitive use strains
  • headache, neckache, backache relief
  • pre/post operative/injury care
  • disease, trauma, autoimmune disorder comfort
  • prevention of further issues

I provide nurturing, therapeutic massage in the comfort of your own home so you don't have to go anywhere.

My therapeutic touch integrates the following bodywork modalities:

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Because fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. I incorporate neuromuscular therapy, which enhances the function of joints and muscles; Trager approach, designed to free up the body & release muscle tension; and improve your state of mind and physical well-being. and accelerates the overall healing process.

Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing \"trigger points\" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These \"knots\" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. This therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Massage aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, Lymphatic Massage can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.

Energy Work

Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a \"life force\", and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force, reflected in your chakras, has simply become unbalanced. I hold and connect your chakras, your energy centers in your body, to restore balance and flow to your entire system. Once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Geriatric Massage

Geriatric massage is a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. It helps to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and also increase range of motion. If you are elderly, geriatric massage can help you maintain and improve your overall health, as well as regain certain physical functions that have been reduced due to aging. In addition, since the elderly don't typically receive enough physical touch, this massage can also help alleviate symptoms of loneliness or depression.

Raindrop Technique

75 minutes: $210

A combination of aromatherapy, reflexology, massage and moist heat, Raindrop Technique facilitates healing and cleansing through structural and electrical alignment to the body.

Gentle and relaxing, this mild application restores health to the entire system by flushing out inflammation along the spine. The soothing process of dropping a sequence of nine essential oils like rain, gently along the spine, lightly massaging them in a feathering motion, then applying a hot compress facilitates the absorption of the oils. These oils allow for a calming, deep muscle relaxation, balance, harmony, and body wellness.  The entire process takes about 75 minutes to complete, and the oils will continue working in the body for 5-7 days.  Raindrop Technique is a powerful therapy that helps bring relief to chronic pain sufferers.
